Hello everyone.
I wanted to let you know that Teach ESL Korea has some BIG PLANS over the next 6 months!!!
I will now be bouncing between Canada, and Korea doing mutiple business trips each year, to help more teachers find reliable jobs. The response for our services has been so positive, and overwhelming to date that we want to help even more teachers.
Since many teachers have specific things they're looking for, (city, hours, apartment needs etc) here is our plan:
I will go to Korea for about 2-3 weeks in October, 2007. I hope to go there with about 20-30 resumes of well-qualified applicants that sincerely want me to help them. I will have meetings set up with schools that match what the teachers are looking for. I will then travel around Korea meeting these schools. From the schools I will:
* Meet with the directors
* Talk with current foreign teachers to make sure it's a GREAT school.
* Clarify points in the contract
* Confirm things like - # of foreign teachers, location of the apartment, working hours.
* I will also take pictures of the school and apartments for teachers to consider.
During my trip I will be able to show resumes to the schools I'm meeting with, as well as send new info back to YOU, the teachers.
We have 70 teachers in Korea now, but we want to make sure we grow smoothly, and that all of our teachers are as happy as the first 70!
Remember that it takes 4 weeks, from the time you sign a contract, to when you can start teaching, due to the time needed for the E2 teaching visa process. This means, when I go in October, I will be looking for teachers who want jobs starting from November 1st to about January 1st.
My wife is now working FT with Teach ESL Korea as well, and she will help with the E2 process, flights and travel arrangements to Korea.
I will do the same trip again in January, for about 6 weeks, with my wife and son. At this time, we'll be looking for teachers who would like our help finding secure jobs from Feb 1st to April 1st starting dates.
Of course, we will continue to work with all of our schools we've been so proud to work with so far. We have all of the resources in place, after some hirings we've made, to help about 3 times the current volume of teachers.
I have never felt such gratification as when I get emails from current teachers we've helped bring to Korea, and they express not only their thanks for the job, but when they tell us about how much they LOVE Korea.
If you would like our help, please email us at teacheslkorea@gmail.com, or call us at 204-333-5563 (Canada cell)
